Getting Creative With Tik Tok

For those of you who don't know Tik Tok is an a social media platform that allows users to create short videos using many different filters and effects. Over the last couple of years, this app has become more and more popular. According to Wyzowl’s State of Video Marketing 2020, the number of businesses using video for marketing has increased from 61 percent in 2016 to 85 percent projected for 2020. Video marketing is a rising investment because consumers watch an average of 16 hours of online video per week as of 2018 according to Forbes. Eighty-six percent of people would like to see more video from brands, according to Wyzowl.



Even though there are various video platforms one can utilize, Tik Tok is great at boosting brand awareness without loosing the attention of viewers with long videos. According to Brandastic, as of June 2021, 60 percent of TikTok users are between the ages of 16 and 24. So if you are target this age group then Tik Tok may be something for you consider as one of your marketing tools. But before you use it for your business there are some other things you should know:


Don't be boring, make content that is fun an engaging

Show the world how creative your brand can be


Do get to the point

You lost me after 15 seconds, its like an elevator pitch, at most 30 seconds or less


Do format correct... because that would be embarrassing

Everyone is on the vertical video wave


Do know the trends

Don't be stuck in the past. Everyone loves to talk about relevant content


Do challenge competitors

Start fun challenges because who doesn't love a little competition


Do try to collab with influencers

This will boost your viewership drastically
